Here are some of the important community events happening in the Ivybridge area that we hope you will support:

  • Saturday 27th February - ‘Call to Action’ The Watermark in Ivybridge, 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm (talks from 2 pm to 4pm with refreshments in the middle). Sponsored by the Co-op for Fairtrade Fortnight.
A showcase of social and environmental charities that are active in the Ivybridge area, including a display table/stand for each charity as well as a 5 minute talk from a volunteer/trustee of each charity to briefly mention what the charity does, but in particular a personal note from the speakers explaining what motivated them to get involved with their charity and also what they get personally out of their charity work. The aim will be to encourage Ivybridge residents to consider whether they may like to get more socially or envornmentally active and to also improve communications between charities in the area. There will be representatives from all ages and sectors of the Ivybridge community. This will be a family event open to people of all ages and there will be a crèche and play area provided for the very young.
Entrance is free, although it is anticipated to be full to capacity so tickets will be available beforehand on request to ensure entry. Donations will be accepted at the end of the event to distribute amongst the participating local charities. Should you wish to participate in the day or would like tickets emailed to you, please contact Frankie via the EcoIvy contact form.
