Subject :Officers due to report back to SHDC Development Control meeting tomorrow (Weds 14th April)
After being raised at the full South Hams District Council meeting last month, officers are due to report back to the development control
meeting taking place tomorrow.
The issues they have been asked to report back on are:
1) Impact of traffic on the community of Lee Mill, on roads surrounding
the development and the A38 trunk road;
2) Risks of air pollution, particularly on the health of residents in the
nearby town of Ivybridge;
3) Risks of water pollution into the water table and the river Yealm;
4) Visual impact;
5) Effects on the wildlife at present in and near the site;
6) The need for an incinerator in this location, remote from potential
users of the excess heat generated;
7) The suitability of this form of waste disposal’.
I would be very interested in hearing their findings as they will be very helpful to include in any objection letter.
If anyone can attend, or if a councillor could ensure the minutes are available before the objection deadline that would be most helpful.
