I am very concerned, as are a lot of other people in the Lee Mill/Ivybridge area that the
planning permission time scale is not long enough as these local areas need a proper and audited
leaflet drop informing them of all the information about the planned waste incinerator and landfill.

Viridor have not let all the local population know about this, as I talk to people every day about it
and the vast majority are unaware of what is going on.

The neighbourhood of people living on the ridge at the back of Endsleigh Garden centre only knew
about this proposal because one of them happens to be a domestic applliance mechanic and he was
mending my washer when we struck up some conversation. He is appalled. He has let his neighbours
know, they are right on the line of the emmissions from the chimney when the wind is blowing from
the west.

What with that and the monstrosity of the Langage power station, I cannot understand why SHDC
would even contemplate having this incinerator on the doorstep of one of the largest growing
towns in Europe.
