Hi Everyone

This is just a quick reminder about tomorrow's march.

Please, please can people try and make it. Meet at 11.30 at the Watermark in Ivybridge for a 12 00 start.

I know we all have busy lives, and the weekend is really special time for all of us, but if you could spare an hour tomorrow that would be great.

We need to keep the pressure up on our councils.

We have found out that the budget for the Waste Partnership for the incinerator is up to £1.5 billion.

At the time that many of us face losing our jobs, or reduced pay, and our pockets are being squeezed, this is a huge, huge waste of money

It is £60 million a year for 25 years. Just think how many local jobs or local services could be saved with that kind of money.

Instead its going to make a waste company very, very rich.

What's worse its not even needed. We believe that the local councils could easily achieve a 80 per cent recycling rate with a bit of political effort. There are other much cheaper, cleaner and greener options too.

We need your voice to be heard. We need to tell the 3 Councils that make up the partnership - Devon, Plymouth and Torbay - that they have a choice at next week's key meeting.

They can either approve a business plan that blows £1.5 billion of our money up in smoke.  Or they could vote for the much cleaner, greener and CHEAPER option.

We have local TV, radio and newspapers coming tomorrow, so we need as many people as possible to say NO to an incinerator and a £1.5 billion black hole.

Please be there. And if you are coming wrap up warm.

Thanks for your support.

Hopefully see you there,

Charlotte
